I am a proud native of Lake Charles, Louisiana and have lived here all of my life. The 2021-2022 school year starts my 23rd year of teaching Kindergarten. This is my third year at Nelson Elementary. I have a dual certification degree: special education (birth-age5) and regular education (k-8th). I love kids- especially the younger ones! I am married to my sweetheart Craig who recently retired from the Calcasieu Parish Sherrif's Office. We have two daughters, Carrie and Megan. We love animals. We have two dogs-Buddy and Biscuit. I also enjoy being outdoors and gardening.
